The Cisco Wireless Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and support of enterprise-grade Cisco Wireless LAN solutions. The role involves working with Cisco Catalyst and AireOS Wireless LAN Controllers, access points, and Cisco DNA Centre to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance wireless connectivity across the organization.

- Design, implement, and optimize Cisco Wireless solutions including Catalyst Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Access Points, DNA Centre, and integration with Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership on enterprise wireless projects, from HLD/LLD creation to deployment and validation.
- Configure and optimize SSID, RF profiles, channel/power settings, RRM, and QoS policies.
- Manage and monitor wireless infrastructure through Cisco Prime Infrastructure and DNA Center.
- Integrate wireless networks with ISE for 802.1X authentication and policy control.
- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, interference, and performance issues.
- Implement guest Wi-Fi solutions, location analytics, and BYOD policies.
- Support Wi-Fi 6/6E deployments and migration from legacy wireless architectures.
- Collaborate with network and security teams on wired/wireless integration and network segmentation.
- Document wireless design, configurations, and change procedures.
- Perform RF design and surveys (Ekahau or Cisco tools) for indoor and outdoor deployments, ensuring optimal coverage and capacity planning.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & CERTIFICATIONS | Education: Diploma/Bachelors/Engineering in Computer Science/Electronics. Experience: 3-5 Years of experience. Certifications: Active CCIE Wireless (Mandatory)
TECHNICAL SKILLS |
Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Catalyst 9800 WLCs, Cisco Access Points (Wi-Fi 6/6E), Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Prime, and Cisco ISE Deep understanding of wireless protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/6E), RF fundamentals, roaming, and wireless QoS. Proven experience in wireless security (802.1X, EAP methods, WPA2/WPA3) and integration with ISE/RADIUS. Proficient in troubleshooting wireless issues Port security, STP, VTP, SNMP, Syslog Good understanding of LAN and QOS Survey tool experience (preferred) SOFT SKILLS | Good logical reasoning & analytical skill Good communication skill
